Viscosifier & Filtration Control

High Viscosity Carboxymethylcellulose - CMC HV

Description

CMC HV is a high viscosity, high molecular weight Sodium Carboxymethylcellulose designed to provide viscosity and reduce API filtration rate to water based drilling fluids.

Application & Features

CMC HV is a cost-effective additive to reduce API filtration rate of many water based drilling fluids from freshwater to saturated saltwater. It increases and stabilizes viscosity to improve rheology, wellhole cleaning and suspension property by coating and encapsulating cuttings and solids of drilling fluids.

CMC HVT refers to high viscosity technical grade CMC. It meets OCMA DFCP-7 specifications. It is suited for water-loss and rheological control in low-solids muds and a highly efficient viscosifier in all other muds.

CMC HVP refers to high viscosity pure grade CMC. It gives more performance with less dosage. It exceeds technical grade PAC HV with optimum balance of water-loss control, rheological control and economy, both for low-solids and high solids muds.
